This practical session focuses on exit operation and touch drills, including the evacuation and ditching context. We will confirm the aircraft type, variant and equipment with you before booking.
Course facts
- Delivery
- London Oxford Airport is our primary training location. We can also deliver in-company or at another venue by prior arrangement. Practical exit familiarisation and touch drills use the equipment agreed for your aircraft type.
- Dates
- Ask for the next available course or suggest your preferred dates.
- Assessment
- Closed-book multiple-choice test, 75% pass mark; confirm any additional practical assessment.
- Certificate
- Electronic certificate after successful completion and full payment.
- Recurrent interval
- Confirm the interval required by your operator and role.
- Group arrangements
- Tell us your group size. We will confirm capacity and any bespoke arrangements; bespoke courses carry a minimum charge equivalent to two delegates.

- Operating and opening the overwing exit.
- Checking for hazards outside and selecting exit routes.
Evacuation and ditching
- Evacuation procedures in a ditching.
- Lifeline attachment and raft deployment where applicable to the aircraft.
- Practical touch drills using the agreed equipment.
